NFT Badges? Or a Boring Database Table? (My Brain is Fighting Itself)

Alright, time for the fun stuff. I'm starting to code the badge system for Loytz. You know, the little shiny hexagons you'll get for being an awesome Patron or Creator
And right on cue, my brain split into two people who immediately started arguing.
**Brain #1 ** (The "Web3 Visionary"):
"DUDE. We HAVE to put these on the blockchain! They should be NFTs! TRUE OWNERSHIP! Users can show them off in their crypto wallets! It's the future! We're building a DAO, remember?!"
Brain #2 (The "Tired Pragmatist"):
"Bro, chill. It's a hexagon in a JPEG. I have like, three active users, and two of them are my test bots. Let's just create a table in the database called user_badges. It will take me an hour. An NFT will take a week and scare away everyone who doesn't know what 'gas fees' are."
And you know what? The Tired Pragmatist is right.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the "shiny object syndrome." To build the cool, futuristic tech before building the actual, useful product that people need right now.
The reality check:
Right now, you probably care more about a working "Contact Us" form than whether your "1-Month Subscriber" badge is an ERC-721 token.
So, for now, we're going with the boring, fast, reliable database.
But don't worry, Web3 fans. The DAO is the endgame. And when we get there, maybe we'll have a big community vote on migrating all our boring database badges to the glorious blockchain.
Until then, I'm just gonna go write some SQL.
What do you think? Am I a boring pragmatist or a wise builder?
